Brandi Here and I’m excited to support your boundary work and to help you set up some great boundary tools that you can refer back to as needed.

To begin let’s look at how boundaries work a bit more so you can see a short hand for how communication cycles for boundaries can look with practice. Note this is helpful to see visually so you can take a break from analysis in complex ways. The infographic is aimed at making your boundaries practice feel simple especially when you’re feeling boundary setting is difficult or impossible. Return to this simple infographic to remind yourself that boundaries are essentially quite simple. Simple is possible. You can do or say what needs doing or saying.

Healthy Boundaries are pretty simple when you think about it. It’s really only 5 ingredients required to start and maintain a great boundary and balance practice.

  1. Know what works for you in clear detail.

  2. Communicate what you need either verbally or in written text.

  3. Get feedback and confirmation from the person you are setting or reinforcing boundaries with to keep working on improved expectations and behaviors.

  4. Reinforce what you need with behaviors that match what you have verbalized as your boundaries.

  5. Feel balanced boundaries and repeat as needed.

Balance And Boundaries P.R.R. Template

In the Boundaries And Balance: How to Say No And Still Be Likable Book, I teach you my tested and perfected P.R.R. method to conceptualize and problem solve when you feel stuck in a situation that you know needs boundary correction work but it’s a touchy subject or the person you need to set boundaries with is difficult to talk to.

Refer to the P.R.R. Template to organize your boundary needs and how to forecast the boundary conversation. This template tool is helpful for you to articulate your specific “words that need saying”. Ideally using this tool will make for a diplomatic and easy to hear and understand version of your boundaries when sharing with others.

In the Boundaries And Balance: How to Say No And Still Be Likable Book, I also teach you my seasoned method called O.P.B.F.C. to prep for follow up actions and your boundary conversation that you can prep in advance when possible. It’s totally possible to practice this method without having to prep in advance as well. Nonetheless, it’s helpful to practice this technique in order to know how to use it on the fly for emergency boundary setting when needed.
