Sugar Cravings are not as mind boggling as they used to be for me. The biggest component of sugar cravings is to recognize them when they happen, it took me a while to identify that I was actively craving sugars. And then a while longer to catch on to the craving cycle my body had developed. And then a bit more time passed before I caught on to my rationalization behaviors of indulging more than was ideal was actually a coping method. When sugar is described as a drug, it sounds kind of scary. But if we just rip the band-aid off and get to the facts; sugar is a drug.
Sugar increases pleasure endorphins releasing in your brain creating a sense of euphoria and satisfaction and an urge for more, similar to morphine and heroin.
Today, I want you to know kicking sugars is possible and many people go through the process of curbing and eliminating cravings. Even if you fall off the sugar addiction wagon, it is easy to start fresh and get some really great results.
Okay, now on to the best tried and true tips to let go of the sugars for good.
Quick tips for same day Sugar Craving results:
1. Drink water
2. Drink Detox Water (Flavor to your water with Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Water)
3. 2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil Daily (Eat or drink this in your smoothie, Tea, or Coffee)
4. Take 5000mg Vitamin D
5. Take 2000mg Fish Oil
6. Schedule a cheat day
7. Create healthy versions of your favorite "cheat" meals and desserts
8. Do not bring processed sugars home
9. Eat whole foods ( eating a balanced diet will limit cravings over time)
