Hi Friend, today we are gonna workout!

I had a new 5-Minute Workout request! Today we are working out for 5 minutes to relieve sciatica symptoms and lower back pain. I figured why not invite Lizzo and her song “Good as Hell” along for the ride! Might as well have something good to bop along to while working out.

It can be such a hard time to work out when you experience lower back pain or sciatica symptoms. A majority of physicians will recommend weight loss to manage sciatica symptoms or to help lower back pain but, how even!?

I have three suggestions that may be helpful to get you started on recovery or be helpful you maintain your sciatica or lower back pain recovery and healing process.

3 Sciatica and Lower Back Pain Tips

Focus on Your Nutrition First:

Work on eliminating any foods that are processed, high in preservatives, or any junk food eating behaviors. Eating a healthy whole food diet will make a big difference in how your body will be able to heal internally and will additionally help you to avoid excess weight gain. You may find that with weight loss your sciatica or lower back pain symptoms will also naturally decrease.

Focus on Building Your Muscles

The 5-Minute workout featured below is a great place to begin strengthening your back, core, and glute muscles even for folks who identify as being at a beginner level fitness. You can gently rebuild strength and endurance via gentle yoga and a modified gentle fitness routine. Don’t give up, practicing gentle workouts can make a world of difference.

Consider Holistic Healing Methods

You may benefit from pain management or healing progress via acupuncture, reiki, cupping therapy, massage therapy or via working with a Chiropractor for Chiropractic massage. You may also consider natural supplements for improving internal healing progress via a Naturopathic Doctor or a herbalist.

The Workout Music:

I chose Lizzo as our musical inspo because in her song feeling “Good as Hell” is the sole goal with the rule being to take action. This song has a great boost for positive mindset in your workout. Plus, the goal of healing sciatica and lower back pain sounds “Good as Hell” too!
